Our Story

Built slowly, on purpose.

VAYREN did not start as a business plan. It started as a refusal to release a fragrance before it was ready — a rule the house still hasn't broken.

Where It Began

VAYREN was founded on the belief that most fragrances are finished too early — rushed to shelves before the raw materials have been given the time to actually agree with each other.

The house began with a single formula, ORIGINE, tested and reworked for over a year before a single bottle was sold. That patience became the standard for everything that followed: no fragrance leaves the lab until it has been worn, on real skin, through a full day, by someone willing to say it isn't finished yet.

Today the collection holds six compositions. Not sixty. That's deliberate — a smaller line, made properly, is worth more than a wide one made quickly.

The Craft

Small batches. No shortcuts.

Every formula is compounded in batches of under 500 bottles, then rested for a minimum of four weeks before bottling — a step most commercial houses skip to move faster.

We work with independent perfumers rather than an in-house team, because a formula built by someone with nothing to prove tends to be more honest.

A Short History

Six years, six fragrances.

We release roughly one new composition a year. Not more — there's no reason to.

01 2019 VAYREN begins as a home lab experiment, testing raw materials sourced through small regional suppliers. ORIGINE's first draft is compounded.
02 2020 ORIGINE is finalized after fourteen revisions and released as the house's founding fragrance, sold directly to a small waiting list.
03 2021 NOIR is developed in response to requests for something heavier — the house's first fragrance built around oud.
04 2022 ROUGE and BLANC are released as a pair, extending the collection toward warmer and lighter registers.
05 2023 CUIR is introduced, and the Discovery Set is launched after repeated requests from first-time buyers.
06 2025 VERT completes the current line-up. The house begins shipping nationwide.

"We're not trying to make a fragrance for everyone. We're trying to make one that's unmistakably yours."
